Stainless Steel Circulator Pump Flanged Rotated
Advanced Flow Control: Features the Integral Flow Check (IFC®) valve, which simplifies installation by eliminating the need for a separate check valve, ensuring smooth, consistent flow.
Quiet & Efficient: Designed for low-noise operation, making it perfect for use in residential and light commercial spaces where sound reduction is important.
Durable Stainless Steel Build: Offers exceptional durability and resistance to corrosion, ensuring long-term performance, especially in hydronic and radiant heating systems.
Maintenance-Free Design: The wet rotor design is self-lubricating, reducing maintenance needs and extending the life of the pump.
Versatile Applications: Ideal for radiant floor heating, hydronic heating, domestic hot water recirculation, and more.
Q: What is the Taco 00R-SF6-1IFC?
A: The Taco 00R-SF6-1IFC is a stainless steel, wet-rotor, in-line circulator pump designed for radiant heating systems and other hydronic applications.
Q: What is the Integral Flow Check (IFC)?
A: The IFC is a built-in, spring-loaded valve that prevents gravity and reverse flow, eliminating the need for a separate in-line check valve and simplifying installation.
Q: Is the pump easy to maintain?
A: Yes, it features a field-serviceable cartridge design, allowing for easy maintenance and replacement without removing the entire unit.
Q: What are its typical applications?
A: Ideal for use in radiant heating systems, hydronic heating, and domestic hot water recirculation systems.
Self-Lubricating Design: The Taco 00R-SF6-IFC circulator features a self-lubricating mechanism with no mechanical seal, reducing maintenance needs.
Replaceable Cartridge: All moving parts are housed within a replaceable cartridge, allowing for straightforward servicing without replacing the entire unit.
Electrical Safety: Always disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance to prevent electrical shock.
Proper Installation: Ensure the pump is installed with the motor in a horizontal position. If mounted vertically, the system's cold fill pressure should be at least 20 psi to ensure proper air purging and prevent flashing.
System Flushing: Before operating the circulator, fill the system with tap water or a maximum 50% glycol/water mix. Operate the circulator for 5 minutes at full speed immediately after flushing to purge remaining air from the cartridge.
Routine Inspection: Periodically check all bolts and fasteners for tightness, inspect the ignition system, and ensure the cooling system is functioning properly.
Operating Conditions: The pump is designed for indoor use with a maximum operating pressure of 125 psi and a temperature range of 40°F to 230°F.
Avoid Dry Operation: The bearings are water-lubricated; operating the pump dry can cause damage.
Use Appropriate Fluids: Only use water or a maximum of 50% glycol/water mix. The addition of petroleum-based fluids or certain chemical additives can void the warranty.
Air Purging: After installation, operate the circulator for 5 minutes at full speed to purge remaining air from the cartridge.
