Maintenance Tips
  • Gentle Cleaning: Use a blower or soft brush to remove dust. Clean the lens elements with a microfiber cloth and lens-safe solution, applying minimal pressure to avoid worsening the coating mark.
  • Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use alcohol or ammonia-based cleaners, as they may further damage the coating. Stick to specialized optical cleaning fluids.
  • Minimize Direct Contact: Handle the lens by its barrel rather than touching the glass. Always use lens caps when not in use.
  • Proper Storage: Keep in a dry, dust-free environment with silica gel packs to prevent fungus and moisture buildup. Store in a padded case for extra protection.
  • Monitor Performance: A coating mark may have minimal impact on image quality, but check for flare or contrast loss. If issues arise, consider professional assessment.
